Sacroiliac Joint Pain and is Dysfunction


The SI joint involves the sacrum bone and the two ileum bones on both sides. The sacrum involves five vertebrae which normally anatomically fused together brilliant ileum forms the pelvis. The joint is held together by a large ligament. The primary purpose of this joint is to maintain the weight of the top body in the right position, the available range of movement is not any. Sacroiliac joint dysfunction contains pain, injury or annoyance occurs.

Sacroiliac joint dysfunction is because of different conditions. As with other joints in the body, the sacroiliac joint can be affected by arthritis. Osteoarthritis, an arthritic condition sometimes happens when the cartilage of their joint becomes thinner. Pain can be perceived able to hips and groin location. During physical examination, pain is often reproduced by giving stress to joint.

Noninvasive treatment for SI joint dysfunction includes physical therapy. Invasive procedures include shoulder injections of local anaesthetic and steroid. Lumbar stabilization techniques and stretching off back are typical exercises which are beneficial for SI shared dysfunction patients.
