This muscle allows us to sit in the taylor sit position actually lotus position.

The sartorius muscle flexes the hip despite the fact rolls the hip facing outward (external rotation). It is yet another knee flexor.

To ensure this muscle, the patient places the heel for yourself tested side on the exact opposite knee. Patients with pain and tightness of the sartorius could possibly difficulty placing the heel at the minimum opposite knee.

However, difficulty in performing this function also would be determined by presence of pain and spasm near the lower back muscles, chic extensor muscles, hip abductor softer internal rotator muscles.
Tightness and shortening of these muscles will produce position performing this motion because it's called the FABERE testing (this is various ability of the hip to, abduct and externally rotate).
